Ramadan 2019 Start Date to be Announced Tonight by French Muslim Council

What day will Ramadan begin in France? Sunday, May 5 or Monday, May 6. The exact date will be announced tonight by the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM).
A meeting must take place tonight, as every year, at the end of which the start of Ramadan in France will be decided. This meeting, which will be attended by the main Muslim associations in the country, is normally scheduled for around 6:30 pm at the Paris Mosque.
In all likelihood, the start date of the Muslim holy month should be announced for Monday, May 6, if we refer to astronomical calculations.
Several European countries, as well as the United States and Turkey, have already planned the start of Ramadan for next Monday. More details tonight in the case of France.
