Real estate is among the sectors that have suffered the most from the state of health emergency imposed by the Moroccan authorities. In Rabat, unlike other cities, real estate has withstood, despite significant variations in certain segments. Let’s look at this in detail for the second quarter.

In the administrative capital of the country, the Real Estate Asset Price Index (IPAI) indicates that house prices increased by 8.5%, while their transactions fell sharply by -70.6%. Urban land prices also saw a slight increase of 3.8%, while transactions for their part fell by -22.7%.

Furthermore, commercial premises saw a drop in prices of -8.7% while transactions fell by -42.1%. Meanwhile, apartment prices fell slightly by -7.4% while transaction declines stood at -59.6%.

The same observation is made for villas, whose prices saw an insignificant drop of -1.5% while transactions here plummeted by -50%.
