Rabat Official Accused of Illegally Selling Public Restrooms for 440,000 Dirhams

A member of the Rabat municipal council is said to have diverted the public toilets of the Akkari market to his own account, which he then resold for 440,000 dirhams.
The municipal councilor is said to have appropriated the public toilets in question before selling them, reports the Arabic-language website Media90, stressing that this "takeover" of these public toilets, denounced by associative actors, is pushing merchants and traders in the market and the area to "relieve themselves in plastic bottles that they abandon on site...".
These actors call on the Wali of Rabat "to open an investigation" to shed light on this case involving a municipal councilor who disposes of public property as if it were his private property. This "scandal" should be an opportunity to thoroughly investigate the assets of the municipality of Rabat, as promised for some time by the mayor of the city, Asmaa Rhlalou.
