Rabat Hospital Officials Address Roof Collapse at Pneumology Center

As expected, the officials of the University Hospital Center (CHU) spoke out following the publication of information reporting the collapse of part of the roof of the "Moulay Youssef" Pneumology Hospital in Rabat.
Firstly, they defend themselves by stating that these events date back to May 16, "more than a month before the publication of the articles in question."
"Immediately after this collapse, which did not result in any loss of life or material damage, all the nearby offices and dependencies were evacuated, and the rooms reserved for patients were not affected," the same source specifies.
A team of engineers and architectural technicians then went to the site to carry out an expertise which confirmed "the validity of the evacuation of the neighboring installations".
The hospital authorities also claim that a contract has been concluded with a recognized national laboratory to conduct a geotechnical survey at the level of the room where the collapse occurred, recalling that the construction of this hospital dates back to 1918. The "necessary" measures will be taken after the conclusions of this expertise, they promise.
