Qatar Donates $250,000 to Morocco’s COVID-19 Response Fund

The State of Qatar has made a donation of $250,000 to the Special Covid-19 Fund, set up by King Mohammed VI in March last year for the management of the pandemic.
The funds were handed over by the Qatari embassy in Rabat, on the initiative of "Qatar Charity", a non-governmental organization for development and humanitarian aid.
The embassy specified in a tweet, relayed by the Banassa website, that the action, which is part of the humanitarian activities of the organization in the Middle East and North Africa, was carried out on Tuesday, August 4.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance as of July 10, the revenue of the Special Covid-19 Fund has reached 33 billion dirhams, including 10 billion from the General State Budget, 1.5 billion from the Association of Regions of Morocco and 21.5 billion dirhams in the form of donations from private and public companies and citizens.
