PSG Bayern Hakimi injury Champions League semi-final
Hamstring injury forces Achraf Hakimi to miss the Champions League semi-final second leg in Munich. The Moroccan fullback still wanted to accompany the team, while Bayern’s management makes no secret of its admiration for him.
Suffering an injury during Paris’s first-leg victory (5-4), the Moroccan international is forced to declare himself unavailable for this European clash in Germany. However, Achraf Hakimi will indeed be present in the stands this Wednesday. Along with Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou, also sidelined, the defender specifically requested to make the trip to Bavaria. "They asked to come. For us, that shows what kind of players we have," Luis Enrique said happily at his press conference, praising a squad aiming for a second consecutive title.

On the pitch, the right fullback’s absence forces the coach to revise his setup. To compensate for this major unavailability and maintain collective balance, the Spanish tactician should reposition Warren Zaïre-Emery in the defensive flank. Paris Saint-Germain will have to defend its one-goal advantage without one of its best players if it hopes to secure its ticket to the May 30 final against Arsenal.
While the player is a key asset for Paris, his profile also appeals greatly to his opponents. Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness took advantage of this major encounter to make advances toward the 25-year-old defender. "We would take him immediately because he would fit perfectly into our squad," the Bavarian executive conceded to DAZN.

This show of interest illustrates the now peaceful relations between the two clubs. Uli Hoeness remains nonetheless very optimistic about Munich’s qualification chances. He believes his team could have secured a better result at the end of the first leg, particularly by taking advantage of the cramps and injuries that struck the Parisians, notably Achraf Hakimi’s.
