PSG Backs Achraf Hakimi as Morocco Begins Africa Cup of Nations Campaign

Paris Saint-Germain has expressed its support for its right-back, Achraf Hakimi, who is participating with the Atlas Lions in the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
"We wish Achraf Hakimi a good Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco. Morocco of our Parisian will play their first match in this #CAN2023 against Tanzania, on Wednesday, January 17!" wrote the Parisian club on X.
After their epic at the 2022 World Cup where they reached the semi-finals, the Atlas Lions are the focus of all attention at this Africa Cup. The Moroccan team is considered the "big favorite" to win this edition of the continental tournament.
Placed in Group F, Morocco will take the field on January 17 against Tanzania. Walid Regragui’s men will then cross swords with the Democratic Republic of Congo on January 21 before playing their last group match against Zambia on January 24.
