PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Named to Ligue 1 Midseason Team, Voted Best Right-Back

Achraf Hakimi is alongside other PSG players like his friend Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha and Lucas Hernandez. This new recognition is justified by the performances of the Moroccan international. He has scored 3 goals, provided four assists in 13 games this mid-season. The Atlas Lion ranks fourth in the top scorers of PSG this season, behind Mbappé, Vitinha and Kolo Muani.

For a few months now, Achraf Hakimi has been shining under the orders of Luis Enrique. "I have benefited from his arrival thanks to his way of understanding football. His way of playing is the one I love: attacking all the time. As he says, I’m not just a defender, because I also really like to attack the last third of the pitch and help the attackers. So I’m happy he’s here and that I can play for him," he had confided in November 2023, just before a match against AC Milan. The Spanish technician is, for his part, proud to have a player like Hakimi in his squad.

"Achraf Hakimi is a player with a very developed offensive flair, capable of being very efficient and solid at the defensive level. The best thing about Hakimi is that he defends very well. For us, he is an exemplary player. However, he still has things to improve in his game," the former Roja coach had said.

PSG wants to keep its protégé for the "Trophée des champions", scheduled for Wednesday at the Parc des Princes against Toulouse.
