PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Draws Mixed Reviews in Scoreless Draw Against Lorient
The long-awaited clash between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Lorient at the Parc des Princes ended in a goalless draw. While the lack of goals may be disappointing, some players still managed to stand out. The Moroccan right-back, Achraf Hakimi, was the subject of particular attention from the press.
According to Le Parisien, Hakimi deserves a 6/10 rating for his performance. He was praised for his nice runs, interceptions, and passes that led to dangerous offensive situations.
Footmercato was a bit less generous, giving Hakimi a 5.5/10 rating. While highlighting his offensive contribution, the media noted an inability to take advantage of his speed against a compact Breton defense.
Maxifoot was even more critical, giving Hakimi a 5/10 rating. Although he showed a willingness to move up his flank, the site pointed out a lot of waste in his passes.
90minutes saluted a very mobile and active Hakimi. His performance both in attack and defense was appreciated, with a special mention for his defensive seriousness.
Finally, Parifans gave an encouraging 6.5/10 rating to Hakimi, highlighting some good runs and calling on him to improve the automatisms with his teammates.
The consensus seems to be that, despite some flashes of genius, Hakimi still has aspects of his game to polish.
