Protesters Decry Job Agency’s Destruction of Applications in Moroccan Border Town

Dozens of job seekers demonstrated on Tuesday in front of the headquarters of the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC), which had thrown away the files submitted by them after the launch of the economic zone activities in Fnideq.
ANAPEC "destroys the dream of young people to find a job," headlined a local media that followed and reported on the demonstration of these unemployed young people who denounced this "reckless" behavior of the institution which is no longer credible in their eyes, as it plays the role of interface between them and companies. The demonstrators demanded that the government take its responsibilities.
A human rights defender was also surprised by the action of a public employment agency that destroys personal documents of citizens (photocopies of diplomas, identity documents, etc.) and throws them in the trash and on the public highway, thus violating all confidentiality and undermining its own credibility.
After the official launch of the activities of the Fnideq Economic Zone, hundreds of young people submitted job applications for various positions opened by the international companies that announced they would set up branches there.
