Prison Farm Auction: Livestock and Ostriches Raised Behind Bars

The prison administration will proceed with the sale of certain cattle, sheep and goats (and... birds) on June 13, from its livestock. And we can’t really talk about a lot of heads.
Maghreb-Intelligence, based on its own sources, gives strange and low figures and talks about seven bulls, two cows, three rams, fifteen ewes, ten goats, as well as three male ostriches that will be auctioned off. The prison administration also offers 200 kilos of wool.
These animals come from the agricultural prisons run by the General Delegation of Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR). And they will be sold, as well as the wool, at the El Ader agricultural prison, located in El Jadida.
While some administrations sell, others buy, as Maghreb-intelligence writes in the same article: "Yesterday, Sunday, June 2, we reported that the Moroccan army general staff (FAR) would soon buy live sheep for the value of 54 million dirhams (nearly 5 million euros). These sacrificial animals are intended for the army units based in the southern regions (Sahara) on the occasion of the throne celebrations (July 30) and Aid Al Adha (August 10 or 11)".
The prison administration could indeed have given the army a discount on the rams.
