Premier League Giants Battle for Inter Milan Star Achraf Hakimi Amid Financial Woes
While the Italian club Inter Milan is facing financial difficulties, three big names in the English championship have expressed their interest in the full-back, Achraf Hakimi, whose transfer amount has not yet been paid to Real Madrid.
The Atlas Lion shines on the Lombard club to the point that three English clubs say they are ready to pay a high price to snatch his services. After Arsenal and Manchester City, it is Manchester United’s turn to eye the Moroccan star, reports the Spanish website Fichajes Todo.
If the Moroccan international has attracted the attention of club agents through his recent performances, it is above all the financial debacle of the Italian team that is likely to trigger the bidding wars, notes the Spanish media. With 40 million euros to pay to Real Madrid and a few months of unpaid salaries, the Sunning Group, owner of the Milanese club, will have trouble keeping the nugget in its squad.
According to the British media, the 22-year-old player would not be against a departure to England. A stint in the Premier League would perhaps be an opportunity to play alongside his compatriot, Hakim Ziyech. The player had been on the radar of FC Chelsea last summer.
