Arsenal Eye Achraf Hakimi as Potential Bellerín Replacement, Says Ex-Gunner Sagna

Arsenal would be interested in Achraf Hakimi. The English club would not hesitate to recruit the Moroccan international if Hector Bellerín, criticized for his performances, decided to leave. This is what Bacary Sagna, a former Gunner who has praised Achraf Hakimi’s meteoric rise, indicated.
The former Arsenal player, Sagna, appreciates the qualities of Achraf Hakimi. "He never gets tired. He’s so fast... I was surprised to see him play for Madrid. He certainly had potential, but I didn’t expect this performance from him and that he would get to where he is today," he said on Goal.com. At Inter Milan, the Moroccan has been convincing in his first season where he scored six goals in 26 games. Since this performance, he has become a key player for the Italian club. But before Milan, Achraf Hakimi also made a name for himself at Dortmund.
"Hector has been there for years. He started playing shortly after my departure, so about six years ago... At some point, if you want to progress, in my opinion, you have to question yourself and start over from scratch. Hector is still young, he still has five good years to play at the highest level. So I wouldn’t be surprised by his departure," Sagna said.
The former Gunner added that "Hector was one of the best, but he got injured a lot and I think people forget that. It’s never easy to have a cruciate ligament injury and then get back to your best level. Now he’s getting back to his best level, but it takes time," Sagna added.
