Inter Milan’s Financial Crisis May Force Sale of Star Defender Achraf Hakimi

Achraf Hakimi should leave Inter Milan during the next Transfer window. Even if the Italian sports club does not wish to part with him, the financial difficulties encountered this year are such that difficult decisions will have to be made.
The sale of talents is becoming inevitable at Inter Milan, forced to undergo an austerity program due to its financial problems. The other way out of the crisis, according to the president of Inter Milan, Steven Zhang, is that the club must make sacrifices. From the observers’ point of view, this alternative amounts irreversibly to the transfer of the Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi, estimated by Transfertmarket at around 50 million euros, and his Belgian teammate, Romelu Lukaku at 90 million euros. The transfer of these two club assets, already coveted in England, could constitute a significant windfall for the Nerazzurri who have accumulated debts of around 200 million euros.
In the sights of Bayern Munich, the Moroccan lion Achraf Hakimi is highly coveted by the Bavarian club’s coach, Julian Nagelsmann, who makes him a priority for the summer transfer window, arguing that the defender is the best "player in the world in his position".
Inter Milan has just been crowned Italian champion, eleven years after the last trophy won in 2010 under the coaching of José Mourinho. Last Thursday, during a crisis meeting, the club president informed the executives and coach Antonio Conte of a debt of around 200 million euros.
