The Logroño court has initiated a procedure for "terrorism" against the Polisario Front leader, Brahim Ghali, and his number 2, Salem Lebsir, report OkDiario and 20minutos. "This court has been seized of the previous procedure on the basis of a complaint from a private individual, for an alleged offence of terrorism," the judge’s ruling dated June 2, 2021 states.
"The facts resulting from the previous procedure present characteristics that allow the presumption of the existence of the offence of terrorism, in accordance with Articles 14.2 and 15 of the Criminal Procedure Act, and other relevant regulations," the judicial text specifies.

The opening of this judicial procedure comes the day after the departure of Brahim Ghali and Salem Lebsir, of Spanish nationality, on board an aircraft chartered by Algeria and the hearing of the separatist leader before the National Court on complaints filed against him for genocide, torture, kidnappings, murders and rapes.
For his part, Judge José Carlos of the 3rd Court of Instruction in Logroño is investigating the entry of Brahim Ghali, the Polisario leader, into Spanish territory under the assumed name of Mohamed Ben Battouche, of Algerian nationality.
