Polisario Accuses Morocco of Targeting Livestock in Western Sahara, Appeals to UN

A group close to the Polisario claims that the Royal Air Force has targeted its camels and livestock in the Saharan areas and holds MINURSO responsible for any escalation that could result.
In a complaint addressed to MINURSO, the group recounts having entered the Saharan areas in search of food for its camels and sheep, and having been targeted by the royal air forces. It says it holds MINURSO responsible for any escalation that could result. These individuals have also reported other incidents that have occurred in the Sahara. According to them, Moroccan drones would have targeted civilians at the border between the Sahara and Mauritania, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of a third.
In the eyes of the group, these actions constitute not only a violation of international laws, but are also considered war crimes. They therefore call for urgent international intervention to ensure the protection of civilians.
