Police Bust Counterfeit Money Ring in Meknes, Morocco; Three Arrested

The elements of the Meknes police managed to dismantle a network specialized in the counterfeiting of banknotes. In total, three people were arrested.
The arrest of the first suspect in the act led to the dismantling of this network specialized in the counterfeiting of banknotes. She was exchanging a counterfeit bill with a taxi driver in Meknes. Investigators discovered that the forger had carried out two similar operations in a restaurant and a grocery store, reports Al Massae. Subsequently, they arrested her accomplice and another member of the network.

The members of the network number three. Among them, two women with criminal records. During the search of the main accused’s home, the investigators seized a color printer and various equipment used in the counterfeiting of banknotes.
After being placed in custody, the three suspects were brought before the competent public prosecutor’s office last Wednesday. They were placed in pre-trial detention in the Toulal prison, and will soon be brought before the courts.
