Police Arrest Two in Baccalaureate Exam Cheating Scheme Using Smuggled Tech

The Berkane police arrested two people on Wednesday who were allegedly involved in a case of possession and trafficking of foreign computer equipment. These are materials intended for exam fraud.
The suspects are respectively 31 and 37 years old, and would be in the habit of selling smuggled computer equipment on social networks, within reach of students for "exam fraud", indicates the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. But they will be stopped in their tracks by the elements of the national security who carried out field research and technical investigations in order to "identify the suspects" and "apprehend them in the act of trafficking these materials on board a light vehicle in Berkane".
The searches made it possible to seize "260 wireless headphones, 213 electronic transmission cards, 32 electronic data storage memory cards, 27 wired headphones, in addition to 1,186 quality labels and six mobile phones, as well as 7,706 dirhams and 100 euros", adds the same source.
They were placed in police custody for the preliminary investigation to determine the ins and outs of this case, the press release concludes.
