Paris Drug Ring Busted: 'Super Cannabis Logistician' Sentenced to 10 Years in €15M Trafficking Scheme

The Paris Criminal Court handed down a heavy prison sentence to the "super cannabis logistician", Chawki, alias "S3". His accomplices, ten men and one woman, aged 25 to 48, were also convicted.

Tried before the Paris Criminal Court for "drug trafficking and importation", the "super logistician" Chawki, alias "S3", was sentenced on Wednesday to ten years in prison. In the dock, he confessed. His accomplices, ten men and one woman, aged 25 to 48, were sentenced to prison terms ranging from two years suspended to seven years in detention, reports Le Parisien. They also received fines ranging from 30,000 to 200,000 euros.

Chawki was the head of a logistics organization that was involved in the storage and transportation of cannabis in Spain on behalf of traffickers from the Costa del Sol and their Parisian clients. From Spain, his organization massively supplied Paris and the Île-de-France region with cannabis. These logisticians had, between October 2021 and October 2022, organized an ingenious system of drug importation between Creil (Oise), Paris and Spain.

During this period, the network ensured the transport of approximately 1.7 tons of resin worth 3.5 million euros, according to the police. "A journey of more than 2,000 km between Tangier (Morocco) and the Oise, dedicated cars in a convoy of goods, worth 15 million euros, transferred with false plates, wave jammers and waterproof hiding places in the fenders," the prosecutor enumerated. Cooperation between the French and Spanish police led to the arrest of this group of criminals in 2021.

These arrests followed the arrest of three suspects who were making a delivery of 27 kg of cannabis in a housing project in the 19th arrondissement of the capital.
