Major Drug Ring Busted: 12 Arrested in Seine-et-Marne Trafficking Operation

Involved in the importation of drugs from Morocco and Spain, twelve individuals - ten men and two women - were arrested, indicted and then incarcerated by a liberty and detention judge of the Meaux judicial court.
It all started from anonymous information dating back to the fall of 2023, identifying a resident of Coulommiers as being a major drug trafficker. Thanks to the technical means at their disposal (telephone tapping, line geolocation, car bugging, physical surveillance), the investigators of the SCT (Territorial Crime Section, formerly the Departmental Security) in the Coulommiers region were able to identify the lieutenants of this man, as well as four drug mules who kept the drugs, imported from Spain and Morocco, at home, reports Le Parisien.
On June 17th, another police service in the Pyrénées-Orientales department arrested one of the traffickers during a "go-fast" operation and seized no less than 578 kg of cannabis! The man was incarcerated at the end of his police custody. On June 24th, the SCT investigators - accompanied by police reinforcements - arrested ten men and two women, aged 21 to 60 years old. These arrests took place at their homes in Coulommiers, Beautheils-Saints and Jouarre for the Seine-et-Marne department, but also in Le Perreux-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) and in the Aube department.
During the various searches, 465 g of cannabis resin, 55 g of herbal cannabis, 4 g of cocaine, 4 ecstasy tablets, as well as 31,600 euros in cash were seized by the investigators. After their arrest, these twelve suspects were placed in police custody, indicted for drug trafficking, before being placed in pre-trial detention last week by a liberty and detention judge of the Meaux judicial court.
