Pardoned Moroccan Activist Returns to Prison Voluntarily for Baccalaureate Exams

While he had just left prison after being pardoned by King Mohammed VI, a Hirak activist went back there, of his own free will! In fact, to take the baccalaureate exams.
As unbelievable as it may seem, but going to prison for his studies, this is the summary that can be understood from this case. Jamal Benaïsa, who had been convicted along with two of his brothers during the events of the Hirak of the Rif, and who has just been pardoned by King Mohammed VI, returned without any escort to the Ras El Ma prison in Fez in order to take the baccalaureate exams.
Goud, the source of this information, also specifies that this happened on Saturday and that it was his brother who would have informed of this news. The latter, as well as the third brother, were all three pardoned during Eid El Fitr.
It should be noted that the Brahim, Jamal and Abdelhakim Benaïssa brothers were initially sentenced to 3 years in prison. Then on appeal this sentence was reduced from 3 to 2 years, last December. And finally, they have just been pardoned after, according to Goud, having served two-thirds of their sentences in prison.
