New Owner Takes Over Grocery Store Near Moroccan King’s French Castle

Rachid Benaomar, owner of the Rapid Market in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin, will become the new manager of the Cocci Market, a grocery store located opposite the castle of Betz, the secondary residence of King Mohammed VI.
As of August 15, Rachid Benaomar will be the new manager of the Cocci Market in Betz, rue de la Libération. This grocery store, located opposite the Betz castle, the secondary residence of King Mohammed VI, has been managed since 2020 by Angélique Vetu and Vincent, reports Oise Hebdo.
Co-manager with his brother Hassan of the Rapid Market in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin for fifteen years, he will leave this business to devote himself entirely to the management of the Cocci Market in Betz. He will be assisted by a full-time employee. Meanwhile, his brother will continue to manage the Nanteuil-le-Haudouin supermarket with an employee.
Rachid is passionate about commerce. "I like commerce, what I like is talking to people. We’ve tested Paris and the suburbs. There was too much competition. In the villages, we do much better. The people in the villages are nothing like the people in the Paris region," he explains.
The Betz supermarket will not undergo any changes. It will continue to serve freshly baked bread every morning and will always keep the press point. "It’s important for the people in the village," Rachid points out, announcing that the business will be closed for two weeks starting Friday, July 28, to take orders.
