Outrage in Morocco as Dozens of Stray Dogs Killed Despite Sterilization Efforts

The killing of several dozen stray dogs by the authorities of Dar Bouazza has aroused the anger of the residents. They expressed their discontent on social networks.
A few weeks ago, the government had proposed an alternative to the systematic slaughter of stray dogs. The residents therefore did not understand the reasons why several dozen dogs were killed last Thursday in Dar Bouazza in Casablanca, reports Le360.
In a statement, the president of the association "Adhan" deplored this massacre, because, according to him, the dogs no longer posed a danger after having been sterilized.
"The authorities are supposed to protect these dogs and vaccinate them instead of killing them. The massacre of dogs in the streets has been going on for more than 30 years in Morocco without any result. Why continue to kill them instead of finding a less barbaric and archaic solution? It is totally inconceivable," he said.
