UK to Offer Night Vaccinations for Muslims During Ramadan

The British government plans to vaccinate Muslims at night during the holy month of Ramadan, in order to maintain the pace of vaccination against Covid-19 and avoid a new wave of spread.
Ramadan 2021 begins on April 12 in the United Kingdom, in the middle of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. People over the age of 50 should start receiving their vaccine doses three days before this date. Concerned about the situation, the government has decided to vaccinate Muslims at night throughout the holy month.
"Anything we can do to strengthen and facilitate vaccination during Ramadan is a good thing, especially in communities where awareness has been difficult," said Kowsar Zaman, initiator of the "Take the COVID-19 Vaccine" campaign, welcoming the government’s efforts to vaccinate the British Muslim community.
Muslims in the UK were concerned about the impact of Ramadan on vaccines, after the publication of government reports showing that Asians, many of whom are Muslim, have the highest mortality rate per 100,000 during the second wave of the epidemic.
