Nigerian Airline Air Peace Denies Crash Reports, Calls Rumors ’Malicious’

Social media posts have recently caused unrest by claiming that a plane from the Nigerian airline Air Peace crashed in the Moroccan Sahara. These widely shared messages mentioned a heavy human toll and the disappearance of a public figure.
Air Peace quickly responded by publishing an official statement to refute these allegations. The airline firmly condemned these "false and malicious information", describing them as a "deliberate attempt" to damage its reputation for safety.
To support its position, Air Peace pointed out that the author of these posts had previously disseminated false information, specifying that the images accompanying these rumors were "clearly generated by artificial intelligence".
Faced with this wave of misinformation, Air Peace called on the public to be cautious and to refer only to official channels to obtain reliable information about its operations. The company took the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the safety of its passengers and crew, stressing that "safety is not only a priority but a fundamental condition for all [its] activities".
