The Netherlands lose their prodigy goalkeeper, Aymean el Hani chooses Morocco
Aymean el Hani, goalkeeper for Ajax Amsterdam and the Netherlands under-18 team, has announced his decision to represent Morocco, his country of origin.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has managed to convince El Hani to join the Moroccan under-20 team, which recently won the World Cup in that category, held in Chile, after beating Argentina in the final.
Despite the strong pressure exerted by some Moroccan coaches from the Dutch Football Federation, the young goalkeeper has chosen to wear the Moroccan jersey instead of the "Oranje".
Aymean el Hani, who has already played for the Netherlands under-18 team, is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers in Dutch football.
A pure product of the Ajax academy, the young goalkeeper is now a Moroccan international and will play with the Lionceaux, alongside young talents such as Yanis Benchaouch and Ibrahim Gomis.
