Negev Summit Nations to Convene in Bahrain for Strategic Talks

The Negev Summit countries, including Morocco and Israel, have announced a working meeting in Bahrain this month to study and examine several topics of common interest.
Senior officials from these countries are expected to meet to address multiple issues and create thematic working groups related to security, health, education, tourism, water and energy, reports Jerusalem Post, which specifies that each group will be chaired by one of the participating countries.
In Bahrain, the Negev Summit countries will try to give more substance to the plan, said a representative of one of the participating countries. The working meeting is expected to be chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Under-Secretary for Political Affairs, it is noted.
It should be recalled that their last meeting was held in March in Sde Boker, in southern Israel, where the foreign ministers of Israel, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Egypt committed to uniting their strength around common challenges.
