The massive recall of merguez manufactured by the Breton slaughterhouses Jean Chaplin began last Monday. These are sausages marketed from June 25, 2024 to July 20, 2024. According to the government website Rappel Conso, they contain "veterinary drug residues". The massive recall concerns the following models: Halal Merguez 50-60 g natural casing; Halal merguez special sandwich; Halal Merguez in 2.3 kg, Halal merguez vacuum packed.
As a precaution, it is strongly advised not to consume the following numbered merguez: 970/241770035, 970/241770036, 970/241770037 and 970/241770047.
