Nationwide Crackdown on Baccalaureate Exam Cheating Ring: 242 Arrested

A large-scale operation to combat cheating on the baccalaureate led to the arrest of 242 people across the country, including seven minors.
Carried out between June 6 and 10, the joint intervention of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) made it possible to dismantle a network specialized in cheating during the 2022-2023 baccalaureate exams.
These arrests in flagrante delicto revealed a real black market for electronic equipment, used to cheat during the exams. In total, 177 mobile phones, 148 "VIP" wireless calling cards, 93 headsets, 426 batteries and 16 laptops were seized. In addition, suspicious sums of money, probably from these illegal activities, were uncovered, the statement said.
The DGSN states that these actions aim to combat fraud and ensure optimal conditions for the regional and unified national baccalaureate exams.
