Muslim Women Face Death Threats After Signing Anti-Veil Petition in France

After the publication of the list of personalities who participated in the drafting of the "Tribune against the veil", the Muslim women who signed it are being threatened on social media.

These women are experiencing a real "ordeal" in the form of threats and harassment. Identified as "traitors", they are the target of a xenophobic onslaught from Internet users, reports Marianne.

As a result, they are retracting and now refuse to testify openly. The irony is that they are left to their own devices, without the protection of the local authorities, or even at the state level, they denounce.

Ultimately, "I decided to file a complaint for harassment and intimidation. I have compiled a 28-page file of screenshots. It all started from a person I identified, a person close to the local association of the Muslim Brotherhood," said one of these women, who lives in a state of permanent stress, seriously fearing for her life.

"I’m more and more afraid to go out, it’s a physical fear that affects my health. I was very unwell last week, I have an ulcer. I don’t even dare say what environment I work in because I know they will recognize me. I’m seriously considering moving," she says with dismay.
