Muslim Soccer Stars Balance Ramadan Fast with Ajax’s Title Push

Fulfilling the obligations of Ramadan and top-level football! This is a summary of what seems from afar to resemble a challenge. While very important matches await them during this Ramadan month, with their Ajax team, Hakim Ziyech And Noussair Mazraoui, both have decided to fast nonetheless.
Ajax Amsterdam has just won the Dutch Cup by beating Willem II 4-0. Although they did not score, the two Moroccans Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui were both the authors of decisive passes for the second and fourth goals respectively. This shows that Ajax is counting on a good performance from the Moroccan internationals.
However, according to the British media Mirror, neither Hakim Ziyech nor Noussair Mazraoui will deviate from fasting during this Ramadan month. Even though Ajax is in the running to win both the Dutch championship and the Champions League.
It should be noted that the Champions League semi-final return leg is scheduled for May 8 in Amsterdam and that in the first leg, Ajax managed to win 1-0 even though Tottenham was playing at home. Not to mention that if they reach the final, it will also take place during Ramadan, on June 1 to be precise.
As for the Eredivisie, Ajax will have to face Utrecht (May 12) and de Graafschap (May 15) and, to hope to win the title, winning these two matches is necessary while counting on a failure of PSV. The two matches will take place, as we can see, in the middle of Ramadan...
