Muslim Democratic Party Founder Enters French Presidential Race, Citing Rising Islamophobia

A few months before the presidential election in France, the founder of the Union of Muslim Democrats of France (UDMF) announces his candidacy. Nagib Azergui justifies this decision by the "incessant outpouring of hatred towards a part of the French citizens of Muslim faith".
"The election campaign of Éric Zemmour led under the sign of division and hatred contributes all the more to this deleterious climate for the living together of our country," says the UDMF, for whom the "only solution" goes through the candidacy of Nagib Azergui.
This candidacy is a way for the party to "carry high the voice of the oppressed, of French Muslims and of all the citizens disappointed by this corrupt political system" in a context where "we live in a sick Republic that is inexorably sinking into widespread dilapidation". Nagib Azergui cites as an example the explosion of poverty or even "the fundamental freedoms of French citizens undermined" through a series of dissolutions.
To try to seduce, Nagib Azergui has published a video in which he declares to be the solution to put an end to all the oppressions suffered by Muslims. "At a time when arsonists are stoking the fire of a new religious war by designating an internal enemy in the guise of the Muslim, I am here to put an end to the islamo-diversion to tackle the real problems of the entire people of France".
Nearly ten years after its creation, the UDMF has also set itself the objective of "presenting 100 candidates in the next legislative elections", already announcing that it has invested "more than sixty candidates".
For Nagib Azergui, the path to the presidential race still seems long, as he will have to collect at least 500 endorsements from elected officials spread over 30 departments to run.
