Morocco’s World Cup Success Boosts Tourism, National Brand

The exploits of the Atlas Lions in Qatar not only make football fans happy. They also constitute a good advertising campaign for Moroccan tourism, according to the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
In this context, the office initiated this Friday, December 9, a marketing operation to thank the Lions, the supporters in Morocco and around the world as well as the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for thus making the Kingdom shine.
In anticipation of the quarter-final match, scheduled for this Saturday at 4pm against Portugal, a visual has been designed in line with the ONMT’s international "Land of Light" campaign, as well as a clear and unified message of thanks to all those who have participated in the visibility of the word "Morocco" on social networks, the ONMT said in a statement.
"The evolution of the national team is a boon for the Office, in terms of the influence of the country’s image around the world. This is the best campaign the country could have hoped for," the office said, adding that this visual campaign will boost the enthusiasm and global visibility provided by the participation of the Atlas Lions in the 2022 World Cup.
