Morocco’s Walid Regragui Among Highest-Paid African National Team Coaches

In Africa, the salaries of national football team coaches vary depending on the country they serve. Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, is among the best paid on the continent.
With a monthly salary of 70,000 euros, Walid Regragui is one of the best paid national team coaches in Africa. He ranks fourth in the top 10. The Franco-Moroccan technician owes this position to the feats he has accomplished with Morocco, which has made history by becoming the first African team to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup.
Vladimir Petkovic (Algeria) tops the ranking. With a monthly salary of 135,000 euros, the Croatian naturalized Swiss technician is the highest paid national team coach in Africa. He is followed by Hugo Broos of South Africa (75,000 euros/month) and Emerse Faé of Côte d’Ivoire, crowned champion of the 2023 CAN (75,000 euros/month). James Kwesi Appiah of Sudan takes fifth place with 48,000 euros/month. Then come Aliou Cissé (46,000 euros/month), fired on Wednesday, October 2 from his position as coach of the Senegalese national team, Otto Addo of Ghana (45,300 euros/month) and Marc Brys of Cameroon (44,000 euros per month).
At the bottom of the ranking of the ten highest salaries, we find Hossam Hassan of Egypt (30,000 euros/month) and Tom Saintfiet (Mali) Amir Abdou (Mauritania) who each receive a monthly salary of 20,000 euros/month.
