Morocco Urges Patience from Thousands of Citizens Stranded Abroad Amid Repatriation Challenges

The Delegate Minister to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nezha Louafi, called on Moroccan nationals blocked abroad to show more patience and sacrifice, while awaiting better days.
In an address delivered during a plenary session in the Moroccan parliament, the minister said she was very sensitive to the suffering of thousands of Moroccans stranded around the world, whom she advises to show more patience. "History will remember your sacrifices," she affirmed.
"Repatriation will certainly take place, and we hope it will be soon. However, the action cannot be done without the coordination of all the sectors concerned, especially since more than 18,000 people have been identified, not counting the students," she added.
The minister also promised to facilitate the repatriation of the remains of victims buried abroad, as soon as the state of emergency is lifted, specifying that "the State will accompany the families who have already buried their loved ones, by authorizing them to transfer the bodies to Morocco".
