Morocco Updates Covid-19 Travel Requirements for International Arrivals

The Ministry of Health has updated the lists of countries classified A or B, as well as the health provisions for international travel. These new provisions come into effect this Thursday, November 18.

The new provisions take into account the recent decision of the Moroccan authorities to strengthen the control system for access to the national territory, announced on November 13. This includes the passenger health form to be downloaded online before boarding, the double temperature check, systematic upon arrival, random rapid antigen testing upon arrival, the wearing of masks, physical distancing and hand hygiene.

Passengers from countries on list A must have a certificate proving that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. The same applies to those coming from countries on list B. The latter must also have a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old.

Moroccans and foreign residents in Morocco who test positive upon arrival in Morocco will be taken care of by a health facility, with a 10-day confinement according to the current health protocol. Any other passenger who tests positive upon arrival will not be allowed to enter the national territory.

Four countries have been removed by the Ministry of Health from list B. These are Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. The two lists have been published on the Ministry of Health portal.
