Morocco Unveils Plan to Lure Back 14,000 Doctors from Abroad

14,000 Moroccan doctors have chosen to practice abroad, including 6,000 in France, according to the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb. To encourage them to return to the country, a special motivation system is more than necessary.
It is not the medical skills that are lacking in Morocco; but they will have to be interested in the long term and not in a one-off manner, the minister said on Tuesday during the oral question session in parliament.
To this end, the implementation of a regional medical program, which should integrate the infrastructure and training centers, is necessary to overcome the shortage of medical personnel.
With only 4 cases in intensive care, the kingdom can boast of having succeeded in limiting the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the minister also said in response to a question from an elected official.
