Morocco Unveils Plan to Address Needs of Expatriates at High-Level Rabat Meeting

The Moroccan Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, chaired the tenth meeting of the Ministerial Commission dedicated to Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) in Rabat yesterday, Thursday. As part of this meeting, he highlighted the government’s commitment to meeting the expectations of Moroccans of the world.
During this meeting, the conclusions of the thematic committees were unveiled. The latter have worked on the development of an executive program for the implementation of the directives announced by King Mohammed VI on the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People.
He also called on all stakeholders to intensify the implementation of the various measures provided for in the executive program. The latter aims in particular to respond to the expectations of MREs in terms of protection of their rights and interests, simplification and digitization of administrative procedures, and enhancement of the talents and skills of the Moroccan community abroad.
Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, recalled the role of the thematic committees which have already held 16 meetings. These committees are responsible for developing a detailed executive program outlining the measures for the implementation of the royal instructions concerning Moroccans of the world.
