Morocco Unveils $20 Million Coco Park: Largest Amusement Park Boosts Tourism in Meknes

Coco Park, the largest amusement park in Morocco, located in Meknes, was inaugurated on Wednesday by Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
The realization of this project required an investment of 200 million dirhams and will generate more than 480 direct and indirect jobs. The Coco Park in Meknes will certainly contribute to the development of tourism in the Fez-Meknes region. This project is "a real catalyst for regional economic development," said Fatim-Zahra Ammor in a statement to the press on the sidelines of the inauguration of this park.
"Projects like Coco Park are essential to offer quality entertainment capable of attracting families and leisure enthusiasts, which also allows to increase average lengths of stay," she added. For the park administrator, Hicham Meskini, "this long-term project is part of a new era to bring Morocco into the field of leisure and entertainment".
This park, which will officially open its doors on July 20, is composed of an area dedicated to the Amazon theme on an area of more than 10 hectares, a rafting simulator, a 5D cinema and an impressive 300-meter zipline. In total, Coco Park offers more than 50 attractions for all ages, including arcade games, water games, rides, etc.
With a capacity of 7,000 visitors per day, this park also has themed restaurants and souvenir shops. It should be noted that the regional application contract of the tourism roadmap in the Fez-Meknes region provides for about fifteen major projects, including entertainment, accommodation and a marketing and air plan.
