New Casablanca Airport Terminal Blends Modern Design with Moroccan Heritage

The National Airports Office (ONDA) unveils the design of the new hub-mode terminal that will be built at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The Moroccan touch is very present there.
Designed in the shape of an "H", the future hub-mode terminal embodies a modern architectural vision inspired by Moroccan heritage and nature, incorporating Andalusian ornaments, Amazigh carpets from the Atlas Massif, and traditional arches, in a harmonious composition, we learn. Its roof will be built from bejmat, zellige and earthy colors, to pay tribute to the southern provinces of the kingdom. The design is also inspired by the natural forces of the Atlantic Ocean, its fluid architectural lines symbolizing the balance between power and tranquility.
This ambitious project aims not only to meet the requirements of HUB operation in accordance with international standards, particularly in terms of connection time, baggage handling and gate utilization rates, but it will also make it possible to meet the needs of the forecast air traffic growth, particularly that related to the development program of Royal Air Maroc (RAM). This new terminal will be connected to the high-speed line (LGV) between Kenitra-Marrakech, offering travelers a fast and smooth access to the main cities of Morocco.
