Morocco Unveils Africa’s Largest Football Complex, Boosting National Team Facilities

King Mohammed VI will inaugurate the largest football complex in Africa, the National Football Center in Maâmora near the city of Salé, early next week.
According to the newspaper Al Mountakhab, the opening of the complex will take place following the renovation and expansion work it has undergone, which have placed it at the forefront of the African continent.
Equipped with natural and synthetic high-quality football pitches, weight rooms, and a medical center with state-of-the-art medical and sports technologies, the complex will be made available to the national teams.
A 5-star hotel has also been built within the premises, in order to avoid additional accommodation costs for the Royal Moroccan Football Federation during training camps.
Covering an area of 30 hectares, the country’s main infrastructure is particularly distinguished by an Olympic-size swimming pool, a conference room and a restaurant, reflecting the importance accorded to this popular sport in the kingdom.
