Morocco’s Tourism Sector Faces Staff Shortages Amid Summer Surge

Hotel establishments, overwhelmed after the resumption of activities, and especially due to the summer holidays running until August, now have to face a shortage of human resources.
The year will be difficult for the Moroccan tourism sector in general, and more particularly for the Tetouan coast in the North region, reports L’Économiste.
Despite the full resumption of activities and the significant influx of tourists due to the summer season, operators "remain on their guard", because beyond the month of August, the future is uncertain, specifies the same source. Meanwhile, "operators have no choice but to call on additional manpower to make up for the shortage of staff dedicated to cleaning and disinfection".
In addition, the daily newspaper deplores the glaring lack of entertainment in this region, which has the most beautiful seaside sites in Morocco.
