Morocco Among Top Contenders for Africa Cup of Nations, Says Ex-Algeria Star

Former Algerian international Ali Bencheikh has cited Morocco among his favorites to win the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Côte d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11.
"There are favorite teams to win the Africa Cup of Nations title, including Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt," said Ali Bencheikh in a statement to the El Heddaf channel. The former Algerian international adds that other teams like Mali, Nigeria and Tunisia could also win this continental tournament.
For now, Bencheikh says he has not yet heard a coach of a national team declare his ambitions to win the CAN, "except for Kamou Malo, the coach of the Burkina Faso national team, who declared it to motivate his players."
