Morocco Tightens Intercity Travel Restrictions Amid Post-Ramadan Movement Surge

In Morocco, the control of intercity travel is likely to be stricter in the coming days. There are already signs of this in certain cities.
In a statement to TelQuel, an authorized source said that the authorities will be stricter in controlling intercity travel. The reason is the attitude of citizens after Ramadan. They are moving more freely between cities as if the situation had returned to normal. "Legally, you still need a special travel authorization or a vaccination pass," the same source reminds.
On the ground, "controls are becoming stricter, especially at the train stations in Rabat and Tangier, and regular at certain police checkpoints in some cities," TelQuel observed.
