Morocco Tightens COVID-19 Entry Rules for Foreign Tourists, Adds Mandatory Testing

In order to preserve the achievements made so far in the fight against Covid-19, the Moroccan authorities have decided to strengthen the control system for access to the national territory. This was announced on Saturday by the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Monitoring Covid.
In addition to the Health Pass and negative PCR tests less than 72 hours old mandatory for people coming from countries on the B list, the authorities have planned a double control by thermal cameras and electronic thermometers as well as by mandatory antigen tests before any access to the national territory. To this end, teams trained for the occasion will be deployed in the country’s ports and airports.
According to the same source, any passenger who tests positive will be turned away and will not be able to access the national territory. The costs related to the return will be borne entirely by the air or maritime transport company, except for people with permanent residence in Morocco.
