Morocco Tax Collection Surges 8% Through Digital Services

To simplify user procedures, the administration developed the online portal "SIMPL", designed to facilitate declarations, payments, access to tax status or the filing and tracking of complaints. This dematerialization strategy is bearing fruit since remote payments accounted for nearly 91.4% of all revenue collected in 2025. These electronic settlements dominate usage widely, representing 46.4% of total operations. They outpace certificate downloads (23.4%), remote declarations (19%), document management (5.7%), stamp purchases (5.4%) and virtual complaint submissions (0.1%).

This digital shift is accompanied by continuous growth in various indicators compared to 2024, as specified in the institution’s annual activity report. Internet certificate issuance notably jumped 34%, while electronic payments increased by 3%. For their part, remotely filed declarations show a 3% increase, a dynamic driven by corporate tax (+6%), income tax (+1%) and value-added tax (+1%).
