Morocco Suspends Urban Bus Services to Combat Coronavirus Spread

Faced with the coronavirus pandemic, Morocco has taken a new restrictive measure. This involves the suspension of urban transport from Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at midnight.
In a note, the Ministry of the Interior instructed the walis of the regions and governors of the prefectures and provinces of the kingdom to take the necessary measures to limit the movement of buses. One of these measures implies that no passenger road transport vehicle will circulate from Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 00:00.
Passenger bus carriers must take into account the arrival date so that their vehicles do not arrive at their destination beyond the aforementioned date. All buses will thus be immobilized on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 11:59 pm. As for the bus stations, they are obliged not to sell any tickets after midnight on Tuesday.
