Morocco Suspends Military Service for 15,000 Conscripts Amid Health Crisis

The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have asked the 15,000 conscripts (men and women) to return to their homes due to the health crisis.
This decision comes after the conscripts have completed four months of basic common training (FCB) and started the specialization phase (training in various trades). The training of these conscripts had started in September 2019. They were supposed to do one year of military service. "There will be a resumption, but no scenario has been set for the moment," we are told at Maghreb Intelligence.
The same decision has been made in other military and security corps, including the auxiliary forces (supplementary forces). Trainees have been asked to return home during this confinement period. "Some courses continue to be followed remotely, but this does not concern military training as such," it is explained.
