Morocco Surpasses 3 Million Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19, Aims for 80% Coverage

Morocco is well placed in the global vaccination table against Covid-19. This is what the daily bulletin of the Moroccan Ministry of Health indicated on Thursday.
Since the launch of the campaign on January 28 in the kingdom, 4,289,281 people have already received the first dose of the vaccine and 3,071,117 people are fully vaccinated, according to covidmaroc.ma, specifying that this completely free operation aims to ensure immunity for 80% of the population, reduce and then eradicate cases of contamination and death due to the epidemic and control the expansion of the virus.
While it is true that vaccination is open to the entire population, health professionals, public authorities, the armed forces, teachers and the elderly, who are very vulnerable to the virus, have been given priority.
On Thursday, the country recorded 511 new infections in 24 hours, for a total of 493,353 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 8,788 deaths (+2) and 481,074 recovered (+467).
