In recent years, tourism from the United Kingdom to Morocco has seen a strong increase, attracting a wide range of visitors eager to discover its dynamic culture, breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage. The ease of access to the country from the United Kingdom, combined with its climate and affordable prices, make it one of the most attractive destinations for British travelers. The most popular cities for overnight stays this year include gems such as Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, Rabat, Essaouira and Ouarzazate, according to the traveldailymedia site.
In its quest to position Morocco on the global tourism chessboard, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has announced more flights from the United Kingdom. The additional flights include routes between Glasgow and Agadir with EasyJet and between London-Essaouira and London-Ouarzazate with Ryanair. "We are committed to promoting the country as a safe and attractive destination for British tourists, and the addition of new flights will undoubtedly increase the number of visitors in the coming months," comments Farouk Lazhar, commercial director of the Moroccan National Tourist Office.
